The Process

How does EB Websites manage a project? What steps does Ellie take?

Ellie crafts a unique approach for each website management project based on needs determined during the free consultation. After the initial consultation and contract signing, she generally follows these steps:

  1. Initial meeting with internal stakeholders and decision makers
  2. Client kickoff meeting with all team members
  3. Project management system for use by all team members to facilitate ongoing communication
  4. Established weekly meetings (15-30 min) with team members as necessary
  5. Detailed team working schedules to facilitate action-based timelines
  6. Quality check points along the way, including usability testing
  7. "Change log" system to track issues and ensure accuracy
  8. Phased-in planning to minimize scope of work "creep"
  9. Final approvals from stakeholder

How often and for how long will EBWebsites be involved in our project?

Ellie typically spends an average of 10 hours per week coordinating each project. The scope of the project is generally defined within the first two to three weeks, even for complex sites. Most website projects complete within two to six months, depending on complexity.

How does EBWebsites charge for its services?

Projects are billed either on an hourly or project basis. A written estimate is provided after consultation.

Where does EBWebsites do work?

EBWebsites is based in Austin, Texas. However, Ellie manages both local and virtual team projects, including global teams. On occasion, some projects benefit from having Ellie work on site in your office.
